Why Workplace HR?

Generally, labor costs are among the highest expenses that all businesses experience.   Most large companies reduce these expenses by dedicating an entire department to Human Resources to administer their policies and procedures.  Unfortunately, most mid-size and smaller companies cannot afford to employ an entire department to oversee this function.  However, without proper employee policies and procedures these companies often suffer from above average labor costs.

Workplace HR will help your business reduce high labor costs and decrease your employee liabilities by performing the functions of a Human Resources department.  Workplace HR can provide all the Human Resource functions that you want or just the human resource functions that you need immediately.

Workplace HR will assist your company by:

  • Improving efficiency by establishing policies and procedures for your employees to follow and training managers on how to use and enforce them.

  • Decreasing expenses resulting from employee absenteeism.  Absenteeism and tardiness can lower profits.  These behaviors often result in late and missed deliveries.  Or overtime costs (paid at time and a half) can occur when other employers must work additional hours to meet deadlines.

  • Reducing the premium costs for Workers' Compensation by designing safety procedures that meet your Workers' Compensation insurance guidelines.

  • Reducing unemployment contribution rates by establishing clear guidelines for your liability, wage and tax reporting, maintaining employee records, and timely handling of notices and appeals.  Often undeserving employees receive payment benefits because the employer did not properly warn or discharge the employee or did not keep the appropriate records.

Even a small percentage change in labor costs can vastly affect your company's bottom line.  For example, a 10% improvement in efficiency (just 6 minutes per hour) due to improved human resource processes and improved attendance can result in an increase of 11 days of work  for 10 days of pay.
